How To Play Babanuki, Step by Step

This page explains the game in the simplest possible way. If you have never played Babanuki before, follow these steps in order and you will understand what is happening in the duel.

Mode: Exact Flow

  1. 1

    Start the duel

One player uses /babanuki @user. The other player accepts. A temporary duel channel is created just for that match.

  2. 2

    Choose 8 cards

Each player picks exactly the configured amount of different cards from their inventory. Those cards become the draft for the match.

  3. 3

The system makes the game deck

The bot combines both drafts, duplicates them to create pairs, then inserts a single Joker. After that, the whole deck is shuffled.

  4. 4

    Initial pairs disappear

After dealing the cards, any automatic pairs in a hand are discarded immediately. So the duel starts with fewer cards than the total deck.

  5. 5

    One player steals

On your turn, you press one of the hidden card buttons from the opponent's hand. You do not know which exact card you are taking until the steal happens.

  6. 6

    The stolen card is revealed

The bot shows the card name and image that was stolen. If it creates a pair in the thief's hand, that pair is discarded immediately. If it was the Joker, everybody sees that too.

  7. 7

    Turns keep alternating

Players continue stealing one card at a time. The only goal is to empty your hand before the other player does.

  8. 8

    Winner and loser

The winner is the first player whose hand reaches zero cards. The loser is the one left holding the Joker at the end.

  9. 9

    Reward phase

The winner gets a chance to steal one card from the loser’s original drafted cards. If the winner does not choose within 5 minutes, the reward is lost and the duel channel closes.

  10. 10

    Surrender option

If someone surrenders, they must either pay 500 Souls or give up a card, depending on what they choose and what they can afford.

Fast summary: draft 8 cards, steal blindly, discard pairs automatically, do not end with the Joker, claim your reward before the 5-minute limit.

How to buy packs and their percentages

  • Use /shop to open the server shop, then click the pack button you want to buy.
  • Each pack button shows the Souls price configured by your server admin.
  • A purchased pack gives the configured pack size for that server.

Drop rates:

  • Unique Pack: drop thresholds and guaranteed last-slot behavior are configurable by each server admin in Bot Game Configuration.
  • Common Pack: 100% Common cards.
  • Rare Pack: 100% Rare cards.
  • Epic Pack: 100% Epic cards.
  • Legendary Pack: 100% Legendary cards.
  • Unique Pack pity system: pity limit is configurable per server. Once reached, the next eligible Unique pack forces a Legendary in the final slot (if Legendary cards exist in that server pool).
  • Important: if a server has no cards in the expected rarity pool, the system falls back to the nearest available rarity, so real results can vary based on each server's card pool.
